Health officials have identified shredded chicken as the most likely source of the Listeria outbreak.
A two kilogram commercial packet has been found which contained the same strain of the bacterial disease.
The disease has been diagnosed in nine patients across Australia so far.
Restaurants have been urged to check their stock.
A recall is expected in the coming days.
