Treasurer Jim Chalmers says the government is “supremely confident” the 2013 federal budget will take some of the cost of living pressures off Australians without adding to inflation.
“We’re really confident that we got the balance right,” Mr Chalmers said.
“We’re giving people a bit of help without making the cost of living challenge worst.”
