Today to celebrate the King’s Coronation organizations are encouraging people to volunteer in local communities as part of the Big Help Out initiative. Catherine and her family are volunteering at a local scout hut in Slough to help improve the building, which saw Prince Louis manoeuvre a wheelbarrow and Prince George get behind the wheel of a mini JCB. As well as this hard work, they also had time to join in a game of archery and to toast some marshmallows.
After days of formal dressing, the Princess of Wales hung up her court shoes and returned to her everyday uniform of skinny jeans and ankle boots. Kate Middleton wore a light-wash denim shirt with a slight ruffle detail on the collar with dark-wash skinny cargo pants with statement pockets by G-Star raw. She finished the look with a striped scarf (like a true Scout), practical brown leather ankle boots by Blundstone and a smart braided belt to add some polish to the casual ensemble.
The Princess has stuck to a strict patriotic color scheme throughout the Coronation, dressing exclusively in red, white and blue to match the waving Union Jacks. It won’t be a coincidence that she has chosen a light blue shirt to wear today, which continues this very British theme right until the end of the celebrations.
